sci fi story

... He introduces the concept of "skinbags." Bags of skin that move and talk like people but that are not quite people...."Skinbags" is precisely what people were for me. They moved and talked, but they had no feelings. It was not that I believed that they had no feelings; it was that it never crossed my mind to consider the possibility.

-Mindblindness

Imagine a situation where everybody in it become like this? By some virus, drug, or MindControl gone wrong! Actually I like that last idea, bringing back the mad scientist's lair, some frankenstein in the castle on the hill with a big mind control beam.
Other Pov: epiphenomenal about ascribing motives to other's actions.

Imagine a character trying to convince someone that the 'skinbags' have feelings too! Eek. Horrible.
It ends with a torch-wielding mob burning down the castle , obviously.

Thelma and Louise

  • Reads easily
  • Reads like an over-sentimental ending (but this is of course what makes it a special ending
  • Pacing: Reads well
  • Character's appear to be best friends: not over-explained
  • The JD (hitchhiker) sub plot funny, and tragic
  • Themes: male-female attitudes to sex
  • Themes: female violence

glen garry glen ross

I think it's important to try to extend the emotional range of my dog.
